We are a BPI accredited company. Our staff have been trained, tested, and certified to BPI’s nationally recognized standards. We use the house-as-a-system approach to improving the performance of existing homes – an approach proven to reduce home owner annual utility bills by 20% or more. The Building Performance Institute, Inc. (BPI) is the nation’s premier standards development and credentialing organization for residential energy efficiency retrofit work.
Devon Basher, our co-founder, is a BPI Certified Energy Analyst, Shell Specialist, Heating Professional and A/C Heat Pump Professional. The Building Performance Institute, Inc. certifies qualified individuals with different specialties. Examples: a person must have the shell certification to perform air sealing and insulation work; and a person must have the heating and cooling certifications to work on heating and cooling systems. Ask your contractor whether their staff members or subcontractors have the proper certifications to be responsible for the different types of work you are having done.
We are an accredited and certified contractor participating in Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Thus, our work is qualified for incentives within the HPwES Program. Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® (HPwES) offers “whole house” solutions to reduce both your energy costs and carbon footprint. Installing energy efficient upgrades in your home can save you up to 30% on energy costs and increase the comfort, safety, and durability of your home.
